Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)

We are proud to offer free, high-quality preschool for eligible children in the Oscoda community. Children who turn 4 years old by December 1st qualify for this state-funded program.

The program operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, providing a full school-day experience in a nurturing and structured environment.

Our GSRP classroom features:

A fully accredited early childhood curriculum
Developmentally appropriate learning experiences
Comprehensive developmental screening tools

This program focuses on building strong foundations in social-emotional development, early literacy, math, science, and school readiness skills — all at no cost to qualifying families.

Professional Enrollment Requirements

Enrollment Process for Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)

To complete enrollment, families must submit the following documents to the center:

Completed GSRP Application
Child’s Official Birth Certificate
2025 Tax Return (or most recent tax return) – Line 9 must be clearly visible
All required Childcare Licensing Documents

Note: If you are a current childcare client, many of the Childcare Licensing Required Documents may already be on file. Please contact the office to confirm which additional items are still needed.

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan’s free PreK program for eligible four-year-olds. Ranked #1 in the U.S., it’s a safe place where children learn how to get along with others, share, take turns, and make friends. Math, reading, and thinking skills are taught every day through fun, hands-on activities. GSRP will help make sure your child is ready for kindergarten and beyond

Young students who attend Tiny Rebels Childcare, LLC are equipped with essential tools and support for healthy development. All activities are carefully designed to adequately nurture students' emotional, intellectual, and physical growth.
